Father John Halligan, S.J.
Father Halligan, after completing his Jesuit formation studies, was sent to Ecuador to work with the rural indiginous communities. In 1962 and 1963 he worked with Misión Andina, an United Nations sponsored work, in southern Ecuador. In 1964 he was assigned to analyze the situation of street children in Quito and, as a result, founded the Working Boys' Center which he has led for the past 46 years.. During 1995 and 1996, he served as interim Director of Catholic Relief Services in Ecuador. He continues as Co-general Director and legal representative of the WBC - A Family of Families.

Sister M. Miguel Conway, BVM
Sister Miguel is a graduate of Clarke College in Dubuque, lowa and spent her first 11 years as a religious teaching high school mathematics at various schools in the United States. In 1967, she was assigned to work at the WBC to develop its program and serve as its Co-Director. She is responsible for the creation of many family development activities at the WBC and continues as Co-general Director.

Sister Cindy Sullivan, BVM
Sister Cindy was a dental hygienist graduate and spent four years as a Peace Corps volunteer at the WBC before joining the religious community of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. As a religious, she was called to join the WBC - A Family of Families staff as a Director and has served in that capacity since 1981.

Carlos Gomez
Mr. Gómez is a graduate of the WBC's metal mechanics program and has worked in various teaching and administrative capacities at the WBC since 1978. He was chosen as a Kellogg International Leadership Fellow from among over 330 candidates in 1989. After his fellowship training in the United States, he served as Kellogg advisor for projects in various parts of the developing world. Presently, he serves as a WBC Director and recently completed his Master's degree in Children's Rights at Salesian University.

Jorge Borja
Mr. Borja joined our WBC - A Family of Families as a child worker in 1964 and presently is a board member of the WBC. Jorge, along with Carlos Gómez and other alumni, are now leaders of the WBC program.

Marco Polo
Mr. Polo is a graduate of Central Técnico in Quito and was selected for special training in Germany by GTZ, the German overseas technical education program. He began teaching at the WBC in 1975 and his responsibilities have grown to oversee administration of the WBC's entire education program.

Dr. Giuliana Hidalgo
Dr. Hidalgo is a physican and has a Master's degree in Public Health. She has worked at the WBC since 1994 as the Health Coordinator.

Susana Yepez
Ms. Yepez joined the WBC in the 1970s. Her professional background is in the areas of Administration and Projects. She is currently responsible for the Development and Administrative departments.
