Fundraising Kits
Let the Working Boys' Center provide you with ready-made fundraising projects for your school, church, or community group. All funds go directly to the Working Boys' Center programs in Quito, Ecuador.
Food for Families During Lent
This Lent, provide a week worth of meals for a family at the Working Boys' Center. This fundraising kit provides you with a promotional flyer, a handout on the Working Boys' Center program, and photos of over 120 WBC families. You could place WBC family photos on a bulletin board and ask students, church members or friends to sponsor a family for a week. Or consider collecting funds throughout Lent and post a photo of a family in your classroom everytime you collect $17.50, the price of one week of meals for a WBC family. Challenge students to collect coins or ask church members for a second collection to see how many families they can support. If you have questions or need additional information, contact Jane Pruhs at 414-248-6171.
The daily meal program provides each WBC member with three balanced meals per day, six days per week, 52 weeks per year. Annually, the WBC serves around 260,000 breakfasts, 312,000 lunches and 259,000 dinners.
Meals consist of a traditional Ecuadorian menu including many fresh fruits and vegetables grown on farms in the region. WBC members volunteer their services to prepare and serve all the meals. Members start their day with a hearty breakfast. Lunch, the main meal of the day, includes homemade soup and a main plate typically consisting of rice, meat and vegetables. Evening meals include bread, soup and fruit.

Change for Christmas
This Advent challenge your students or school to collect their pennies, dimes, quarters and dollars in a fundraising project supporting the Christmas activities at the Working Boys' Center. Provide WBC daycare students with toys, sponsor Christmas plays or offer a special meal to families celebrating Christmas Day at the Working Boys' Center.
This fundraising kit provides flyers to send home to parents and posters to hang at school. Collect change in the classroom and see how special you can make Christmas this year for those served by the Working Boys' Center.
